HEIM JOINT ROD END 7/8 SHAFT 3/4 BORE LEFT
HEIM JOINT ROD END 7/8 SHAFT 3/4 BORE LEFT
Our Price: $19.99

This is a 7/8"" shaft with a 3/4"" bore (14TPI). Sometimes smaller in the right places is better! Don't let the price confuse you, these are high quality Heat Teated Chromoly rod end, they are definately not a cheap mild steel heim. The 4130 Chromoly housing has a hard chrome finish and the Ball is made from 51200 bearing steel and heat treated with a hard chrome finish. The race is made from injection molded Teflon impregnated Nylon. Approximate Ultimate Radial Static Load - 55,600lbs. These are not tested to breaking point, they are tested to first deformation, that is a key point, deformation is not breaking. Some of the other companies test to destruction, I believe if they tested using the same methods the results would be very close, if not the same."

HEIM JOINT ROD END 1 1/4" SHAFT 1" BORE RIGHT
HEIM JOINT ROD END 1 1/4" SHAFT 1" BORE RIGHT
Our Price: $35.99

This is a fully heat treated chromoly heim with a radial static load(RSL) rating of 76,200 lbs. The 52100 bearing is heat treated steel and hard chrome plated. The housing has a hard chrome finish. The race is made from a teflon impregnated nylon injection molding. This Heim has a 1.25" shaft with a 1" bore. The reason we use the 1" bore instead of a 1.25" bore is strength. There is simply more material on the 1" bore rod end and with a 3/4" bolt, after missalignment that is what you would end up with anyway. If you need a 1.25" rod end, you don't want a small bolt becoming the weak point. Sometimes smaller in the right places is better! There are many benefits to a 1 piece Rod End that you should understand. The first and foremost is simply Strength but the simplicity of having less parts to come loose or break on the trail or in competition comes in a close second. Anyone can buy the parts to make a rod end. They're pretty easy to come by and you don't need a very expensive special 800 ton press to manufacture them. If they screw together. However, there is a reason the 1 piece rod ends have been the chosen ones for so long.
